The MPBHBA is pleased to announce the launch of the new On Western website showcasing the offerings along a nearly three-mile stretch of Western Avenue in Beverly and Morgan Park. The website was developed in partnership with the Beverly Area Planning Association using grant funds awarded to the MPBHBA. Longtime MBPHBA members Jim and Laurie Cleary of the Argus Company built the site with input from both groups and business owners on Western Avenue.
The website serves as a dynamic event calendar and business directory, presenting local restaurants, bars, retailers, and arts organizations. It promotes upcoming cultural events as well as special offers from the merchants on Western. The goal is to keep residents in the neighborhood instead of going elsewhere for food, drink, retail goods, or entertainment—and attract visitors from outside of Beverly/Morgan Park, too.
Business owners can submit an upcoming shopping promotion, cultural performance, or other event directly to the website. It includes a helpful guide that makes it easier for business owners to submit their information and get the word out about what they’re promoting.
