Our Community
Welcome to the Village in the City
Beverly Hills/Morgan Park was built as a country retreat for Chicago’s elite after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. Over time, the area has evolved from an exclusive streetcar suburb into the progressive and diverse community it is today.
Our neighborhood is just 15 miles southwest of Chicago’s Loop. It is easily accessible from downtown by CTA bus service, the Metra commuter rail line and major expressways.
Generations of Irish Catholic families have raised their families here, and the neighborhood is home to several thriving parishes. New residents are attracted by the distinctive architecture, quality schools, cultural offerings, abundant green space, and charming business districts in the racially integrated neighborhood.
Big city finesse. Quaint village charm.
Often referred to as the “Village in the City,” Beverly Hills/Morgan Park possesses the community spirit of a small town and the urban amenities of a world-class city. Our neighbors are some of the most educated and sophisticated people in Chicago. They love Beverly Hills/Morgan Park for its welcoming atmosphere, beautiful homes, and unique small businesses, among other attributes. Though the Loop is just 15 miles away, the vibe here is relaxed and warm. We’ve earned the nickname “The Village in the City.”
A tight community that supports shopping locally.
Beverly Hills/Morgan Park residents are proud of our neighborhood and are fiercely loyal patrons of local merchants. This commitment to supporting independently owned businesses has been a key factor in the evolution and success of our commercial districts.
