Congratulations to It Takes a Village on their recent ribbon cutting for their expansion next door. What started as a small daycare in the home of Zeela Wilkins has transformed into a preschool for ages 3-5, with before and after school care for ages 6-13.
In 2018, I.T.A.V. expanded into the current brick and mortar facility at 10845 S. Western Ave., continuing their core services, along with transportation for school-aged children to and from school.
Their enrollment of school-aged children continued to increase, and these students needed homework assistance, tutoring, and also a designated space for their age group. The recent expansion, named the “Jonathan Wilkins’ Math and Science Tutoring Center” in honor of Zeela’s late husband, who had a passion for math & science, and a desire to tutor. It’s a not-for-profit, and services are specifically for ages 6-13, with free tutoring services for up to age 18, in addition to transportation from school.
Congrats to Zeela and the I.T.A.V. team on the expansion! To learn more about their services, visit them online via the link below.
