Resources for Business Owners

The City’s Department of Business Affairs & Consumer Protection (BACP) has set up an informative page with resources for businesses, consumers, and employees.

The Chicago Small Business Resiliency Fund is offering loans of up to $50,000 that can be used for working capital and, in particular, employee payroll.

U.S. Small Business Association (SBA) is offering Disaster Assistance Loans and a Paycheck Protection Program (PPPA) to Illinois businesses impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has a small business guide for responding to the coronavirus, which includes immediate all small businesses should take. They also have a guide to the SBA’s new Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).

Restaurant and Bar owners, here is a website with resources for your workers who’ve lost their jobs as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. 

The Illinois Department of Commerce is launching a Hospitality Emergency Grant Program for bars, restaurants, and hotels.

Beware of COVID-19 Scams! The Illinois Attorney General warns of false claims for products such as chlorine dioxide, hydroxycholroquine, essential oils, silver, elderberry and garlic are being advertised as “cures” for COVID-19.
