That bastion of joy and creativity, the 13th annual Beverly Art Walk, is a massive arts event designed to celebrate and support the cultural life of our community — and it’s happening September 26, 11am to 5pm, at venues across Beverly and Morgan Park, with an afterparty at Nicky’s of Beverly.
The Beverly Art Walk is a FREE, volunteer-run, community arts event presented by the Beverly Area Arts Alliance. The day is filled with art exhibitions, live music, artist demonstrations, home studio tours, and the creation of public art all over the neighborhood. Art Walk also draws a lot of attention and traffic to Beverly/Morgan Park business corridors.
There are several different ways for businesses to be a part of the Beverly Art Walk: You may participate as an Art Walk venue, a mini art gallery supporter or sponsor, an Art Walk Banner sponsor, Bike Brigade supporter and more! Together, we will provide the best possible Art Walk experience that we can for artists, venues, attendees and the community.
How does it work? Participating as an Art Walk venue means our team would assign artists to exhibit their work in your space. We will then make arrangements with you to install the artists’ work and provide you with an Art Walk social media toolkit, maps, and signage and help you promote your business’s participation as a venue. The most successful venue owners get to know the artist(s) being featured in their space and help promote their work and Art Walk to drive traffic to their space. The cost for retail business participation is $50. This year, the process for becoming an official venue is slightly different.
Every organization that wishes to participate as a venue must submit the Venue and Sponsor Form linked below by Friday, July 31, at noon. .
Completing the application does not guarantee your business’s participation as a venue. A list of participating venues will be announced August 24.
In addition, we will again have dazzling, celebratory Art Walk banners lining Western Avenue. They are a great way to show your business, organization or family’s support for the Beverly Art Walk, generating funds to keep it free for attendees and affordable for businesses and artists. Banner sponsorships are $175. Art Walk venues are eligible for a $25 discount on banner sponsorships. We are also planning to build a series of miniature art galleries featuring vibrant smaller artworks, poems, ‘zines, stickers and more by artists and community members. Additionally, a “Botanical Bike Brigade” will be hitting Art Walk this year with riders festooned with costumes and decorations evoking all manner of flora and fauna – and fun!
