Congrats to Al’s Cookie Mixx on their WGN TV feature last week! Alvin & Aiden Green joined Brhett Vickery on WGN’s People to People show last Saturday during Autism Awareness Month.
Al’s Cookie Mixx has been in business for almost 3 years and offers customizable and classic cookie options, all available to purchase online. They ship anywhere in the US and they offer local delivery and pick-up at their 10225 S. Western Ave. kitchen. Al’s Cookie Mixx also pop-ups up at many local events, and is at the 95th Street Farmers Market on most Sundays.
When Aiden aged out of the educational system at 22, Alvin and his wife searched for ways to keep him engaged. Alvin has been baking since childhood, and his wife suggested they start a cookie company to give Aiden and friends a place to work and connect. Al’s Cookie Mixx hopes to build up enough business to allow them to hire more adults with special needs!
