How we help local businesses.
The MPBHBA works tirelessly to strengthen our commercial districts and support our entrepreneurs. We worked with Groupon in 2017 to create this promotional video for a Groupon marketing campaign featuring several local businesses.

Our seasonal marketing campaigns spotlight our shopping districts, help generate new leads for local businesses and drive customers into storefronts.
Networking opportunities
Throughout the year, the MPBHBA hosts networking events for members to build relationships and work together on initiatives.
Recruiting & developing businesses
We are a resource for anyone interested in learning more about doing business in our community. We also support new and growing businesses, connecting them with government programs and providing opportunities for business education and enrichment.
Troubleshooting & providing local connections
The MPBHBA is a liaison between our members and community leaders, including local officials and grassroots organizations. When members have questions about their taxes, licensing, and SSA-related services, the MPBHBA can provide assistance and connections.
MPBHBA Supports Business Diversity
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are values that we value within MPBHBA and throughout our community. In 2023, we partnered with Beverly Area Planning Association and the 95th Street Business Association to celebrate Black Owned Business Month in August. As part of that initiative, we created an online directory of Black owned businesses. Moving forward, we will continue that work as part of our newly formed 19th Ward Community Connections Committee, and extend our reach.
